Maintenance Chalmers license servers
On Tuesday 2026-03-31 at 16:00 - 17:30 we plan to perform system maintenance on several of Chalmers' servers for network licenses. The work will result in a couple of shorter interruptions of up to about 15 minutes, with the longer ones planned to take place after 17:00. Examples of licenses from vendors that may affect many users: Ansys AVL Cadence Mathworks (Matlab) MSC (MD Adams) PTC (Creo, Mathcad) Safe Software (FME) Siemens (NX, Star-CCM+, Heeds, Mentor) Wolfram (Mathematica)

Tuesday 31 Mars, Chalmers IT department will change network equipment for SB1 Floor 1-2. This may cause short outages in the wired and wireless network. Maintenance is scheduled for the entire day. We will try to keep the interruption as short as possible, estimated to be a few minutes.

We will Upgrade software in firewalls for Chalmers WiFi services (eduroam, NOMAD) and a few local labs, beginning at 5 pm, on Wednesday 2026-04-01. The protected devices in local labs are affected. No impact on WiFi is expected, but in a worse case scenario wireless devices and services may be affected of short disturbances. The work is planned between 5 and 6 PM approximately.

We are going to make changes that require restart of vpn19-gw.chalmers.se, at 17:15 on Wednesday 2026-04-01. This will only impact computers running "Always On VPN" (Windows CDA computers). All active sessions will get stopped and a new login might be required. eduVPN is NOT affected at this time. The work will take around 10-15 minutes.

Hello! On Wednesday 25 March between 05:00 and 09:00, Chalmers will upgrade our telephony system. This may cause shorter downtime throughout the day for calls and data via mobile phones, as well as landlines and group numbers. If you experience problems calling or surfing on your mobile, we recommend a restart to force it to reconnect to Telenor's network. The upgrade will result in your old voicemail will be deleted and replaced with a new one in the new system. Listen to and save old messages before March 25 if you want to keep them. More information about the upgrade and what it means for you can be found in the news feed or if you search for phone systems replacement on Chalmers' intranet.

Always-On VPN for Windows CDA is NOT affected at this time. All active sessions will get stopped and a new login might be required. Please restart the service or reboot your device if you face a problem after the job is done. The work will take around 15-20 minutes.
